Meet Khandi Gibson

She Transformed Pain into a Powerful Force for Change.

Khandi Gibson is a Bahamian community leader and the founder of Families of All Murder Victims (FOAM), an organization established in 2012 to support families affected by violent crimes. Her commitment to this cause stems from personal tragedy, having lost two brothers to murder. Over the years, Gibson has expanded FOAM’s mission to include broader community assistance, such as job placement services, clothing and grocery assistance, and housing for those in need. She has been a vocal advocate for victims’ rights, emphasizing the need for compassionate treatment of rape victims by law enforcement and calling for the establishment of shelters for domestic violence victims. In recognition of her philanthropic efforts, Gibson was awarded the Order of Merit on National Heroes Day. Despite facing personal challenges and threats, she remains dedicated to her mission, recently breaking ground for a new FOAM headquarters and shelter facility.
